Perfect app for manual focus

I wish i would have found this app sooner. This is the only TRUE manual focus i have found on iphones. I have spent at least $15 on other apps in hopes it would have real manual focus and this is it. I dont care for the remote viewing or any of that, i needed manual focus and this provided. Perfect. 5 stars.

Crashes when I hit record!

Useless, the moment I try to record something it gives me an error message and crashes! iPhone 5S with 64GB.

This is a simple, reliable, and very useful video capture app for mobile device. Its worth the few dollars. I recommend iPhocus for your mobile devise app tool box, along with Filmic Pro and MoviePro. When you need a fast way for manual control of focus and exposure, beyond the native Apple app, iPhocus is it.

Where is the 120FPS? And why is the audio so bad?

I own an iPodTouch 6th Gen and the camera on the device is available to shoot videos up to 120FPS but im only able to put 30FPS on the app?? And also how can the audio be so bad on this app? The normal camera have a pretty good microphone quality but this app destroy it all... Would like these features updated... But overall its cool to be able to blur how you want and the ISO system is pretty cool!

No zoom

No zoom and the metering is in feet, not meter.

It really is like having my professional camera with me

I used to carry my Nikon camera all the time. With this app i have same quality videos with my iphone. I love it!!!!!

Not for the iPhone 4s

Nice manual focus and exposure along with white balance but record button cut off on screen of iPhone 4s making it useless!

Incredible!

Turns my iPhone 6 Plus into a dslr! Amazing control!

Frustrated

App Keeps crashing every time I try to save.

Best video app I have ever used

I have been using this app for a month and it delivers what it promised. I went to a trip to Madrid, Spain and I didnt have to use my Nikon camera. I do recommend this app, especially since its new update to be used with my iPad as a remote control.

Nice little app... Things missing

Great little app but one major feature I like to see in it is Video stabilization and option for more resolution and a Video Encoding.

Uumm....theres no zoom option

After I bought this app for $1.99.....I realized that you cant zoom....and that makes this app useless

Focus

Perfect focus ! Please put wide screen ! Thank you!

Great but doesnt zoom!

Does everything it says it does, so it works great, but the reason for four instead of five stars is that there is no zoom control at all.

My only camcorder

THIS IS A GOD FIND FOR VIDEOGRAPHY I SHOOT ALL PHOTOS AND VIDEO WITH MY MINI AND I WILL NOT SHOOT VIDEO WITHOUT THIS APP WORKD VERY WELL WITH MY TELELENSE WITCH HAS MANUAL ZOOM SO NO ZOOM ON THE APP IS AOK WITH ME

Cant use self facing camera with this.

Not good for YouTubers. You can only use the face away camera for this.

Great app but a bug...

This is exactly the type of cam I needed. Something to adjust focus and such. This works great but the remote function is freezing on me and wont save what I recorded while using the remote app on my iPhone. Very disappointed since that was a major thing for me. Hope it gets fixed. If you dont use the remote function it works brilliantly.

Ups the game of using an iPhone for video

Nice app., especially for the price. Bought a used iPhone 4s specifically to play with mobil video. Added a Phocus (not related) frame and lenses to the mix, and just bought this app. Seriously cool. Go to their site and check out the camera video. That’s what sold me. Would like to see a zoom or magnify feature to help establish critical focus. Maybe a reset to kick it back t the default settings?

Needs to have zoom capability

Everything is great other than not being able to zoom in. I might have to buy a separate iPhone telephoto lens.

best rack focus app. but one MAJOR flaw

it does what its name says it does. handles focus, WELL. it’s really the ONLY iOS camera app that will allow you to get smooth rack focusing. cant do it in moviepro, cant do it in ultraKam, definitely not in the onboard camera. filmic pro is probably the best of the tap-focus options. but it still does the zoom search between focus points. sadly though iphocus still has TWO major flaws (or actually omissions is a better word): 1. lack of assignable “hard stops” or any kind of numerical marker / indicator of where you are along the range. this makes precise repeat-focuses very difficult. 2. considering the lack of number 1 above, a focus-assist would be nice (peaking/false color) to let you know whats actually in focus at any give point in the range. a zoom would be handy. but i don’t fault them for leaving it out as this is sort of a cinematic “prime lens” (meaning non-zoom capable) kind of metaphor. controls are all easy to access and make sense. if iphocus had 2k-4k capability and hard stops / focus assist, i’d remove ALL the other video camera apps from my phone.
